A Dh270 Million Gift to the Future: Khalaf Al Habtoor Launches Landmark Housing Initiative for Emirati Newlyweds

In a powerful display of national duty and community support, prominent Emirati businessman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor has announced a major initiative aimed at easing the financial journey for young Emiratis entering marriage.

The Al Habtoor Group chairman has allocated 88 luxury apartments in the iconic Al Habtoor Tower to be sold to young Emirati couples at a fraction of their market value. By covering 70% of the total cost, Al Habtoor is providing a Dh270 million boost to help the next generation build stable, happy homes.

A First Home Made Accessible

Recognizing that housing costs are often the biggest hurdle for young families, this initiative allows beneficiaries to secure a premium residence by paying only 30% of the unit’s value.

To further ensure financial stability, the payment plan is designed with maximum flexibility:

  • 70% Subsidy: Covered entirely by the Al Habtoor initiative.

  • 30% Contribution: Paid by the beneficiary.

  • 5-Year Plan: A flexible, long-term payment schedule to prevent financial strain on new households.

Designed for Families

The 88 units are not just apartments; they are designed as long-term family homes. The selection includes:

  • One-bedroom apartments for couples starting their journey.

  • Two- and three-bedroom apartments to accommodate growing families.

Located in the prestigious Al Habtoor Tower, these homes offer world-class amenities, ensuring that young Emirati families start their lives in a high-quality, inspiring environment.

"Building the Nation’s Fabric"

The initiative reflects the UAE’s broader vision of social stability. By removing the burden of heavy debt and high mortgage payments, the program allows young couples to focus on their professional growth and family well-being.

"Our youth are the heartbeat of this nation," Al Habtoor stated during the launch. "Providing them with the foundation of a home is not just a gesture of support; it is an investment in the future stability and prosperity of Emirati society."

A Growing Legacy of Philanthropy

This Dh270 million contribution is the latest in a series of philanthropic efforts by Khalaf Al Habtoor, who has long been a vocal advocate for private-sector involvement in national development. The program is expected to serve as a blueprint for how leading businessmen can partner with the community to support the UAE’s social goals.
