Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the World Police Summit 2026 has officially begun its countdown with the launch of the World Police Summit Dialogues. This inaugural series of closed-door strategic sessions is designed to move global policing beyond theory and toward practical, actionable security solutions.
The series serves as a crucial precursor to the main Summit, which will be held from June 23 to 25, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The 2026 Vision: "Connected for Impact"
The opening session at the Dubai Police Officers’ Club introduced the theme for 2026: “Connected for Impact: Uniting Global Policing to Safeguard Future Generations.” Organizers highlighted that because modern threats are transnational, security must evolve into an integrated, collaborative global ecosystem.
Key Focus Areas & High-Level Discussions
Led by Dubai Police in partnership with DXB LIVE, the first session brought together international police leaders, diplomats, and tech innovators to tackle several critical pillars:
Border & Transit Security: Addressing migration challenges and land, air, and sea safety.
Technological Governance: Regulating AI and rapid tech shifts to counter modern crime.
Space-Age Policing: Exploring how space-based intelligence and satellite technology can support frontline operations.
Tactical Innovation: New methods for contraband detection and forensic efficiency.
Shaping the Global Agenda
Colonel Dr. Rashid Hamdan Al Ghafri, Secretary General of the Summit, emphasized that these preliminary dialogues ensure the main event focuses on implementable frameworks rather than just opinions. This sentiment was echoed by global experts:
"The Summit is a genuine platform for understanding daily challenges and proposing solutions that support law enforcement in combating smuggling and achieving their objectives." — Igor Banderyth, MISSING Equipment Trading.
"Cooperation takes many forms... the discussions launched by the Summit are seriously working to break down barriers to information sharing." — Rajeshwaran Murthi, UNOOSA Advisor.
By the Numbers: Growth and Impact
Following a record-breaking 2025 edition that saw over 53,000 participants, the 2026 Summit is set to be the most influential yet.
